JESSIKA GONÇALEZ

Writer and singer

Born in 1990, she has a life story of overcoming challenges throughout her career. She began, through her moments of failure, to understand her reality in order to achieve wisdom, tranquillity and peace in a chaotic world, with thousands of pieces of information that confuse our minds on a daily basis, taking us away from the reality of living a fulfilling life. She is a dreamer who has never given up, even in times of extreme chaos.

In music, Jessika Gonçales is artistically known as JessiK. She is a singer, songwriter, stylist, beautician and presenter. She was born in Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, but spent her entire childhood in the Minas Gerais city of Uberlândia, where she developed a passion for music, taking her mother, who is a singer and guitarist, as a reference.

The singer has been surprising young audiences with her vocal quality, artistic performance and friendliness. With the cheerful and contagious rhythm of Raggaton, the artist has presented her own songs and versions of well-known songs in a very current way. JessiK is currently in the studio preparing new singles, which will soon be available on all music platforms. The artist’s philosophy is to manifest the light interaction between different thoughts in a peaceful way, enabling greater understanding, contemplation and the potential of each being. Through musical ethics, she touches on various themes, as she believes in the challenges of artistic expression and the contribution of art and culture to human development.

Through the constant search for knowledge in the various areas that permeate the well-being of the human being, such as mental and physical health, aesthetics, among others, he is always looking for his best version. In the same way, she strives to advise and help all the people she works with to live their best life within their reality, in order to achieve a happy and fulfilling life.

THE BOOK

You are entering the website of the book Accepting Reality. This book and project aim to remind people of their reality and their natural development process. It shows how much we must respect our process, our time to work, our time to dream and rest, and our natural learning process.

In a world where we are constantly exposed to lives different from our own, different realities and social and emotional contrasts, we begin to live in a parallel mode to our reality. We always want more, we want ease and magic, and we want to conquer without the effort of the process. As a result, we are forming a society that is increasingly sick and weak, emotionally and physically.

This project wants to show that we are real and capable of having a life that respects our history, our time and our autonomy. It wants to show us that we can’t stop loving, because the end of love could be the end of the whole of humanity. This project wants to help us learn to manage all areas of our lives, so that we can be life in the lives of those close to us.

The main purpose of the project is to help you understand yourself and live better, make better decisions and live the best version of your reality.

Each restored person is not just a restored person: they are a happy mother; a happy father; the start of a healthy new family. A fallen, sad, shaken person doesn’t just hurt themselves. That pain is reflected in everyone around them, hurting them too in some way.

That’s why, by helping one person, you’re indirectly helping many others. Be the life in someone’s life!

PARTNER

The first kits will be delivered to thousands of homeless people in San Francisco, California. The book was translated from Portuguese into English by a Brazilian English teacher, an American English teacher and an American speaker, the daughter of Brazilians.

The three of them made this composition so that the message would reach people in the most original way possible, according to the essence of the project.

THE NGO

“Accepting Reality – Transforming Lives and Rescuing Human Beings from Vulnerability”

"Accepting Reality" is a non-governmental organization

founded by Jessika Gonçalez in 2023. Today, the project is a philanthropic association based in California, which has been carrying out social reintegration work, family support, and economic empowerment for the homeless population, families living in peripheral communities, and those in economic vulnerability.

The United States values a developed and vibrant civil society as an essential part of democracy. Civil society organizations play a crucial role in advancing human rights and progress in the country. The US has a wide range of NGOs, covering diverse interests, ideologies, and causes. These organizations are free to operate independently and can receive funding from various sources, including foreign governments. US regulations aim to facilitate the formation and operation of NGOs, without judging their value or work.

The NGO “Accepting Reality” was born from the autobiographical book, a result of a period of questioning and painful experiences that the writer went through during the pandemic, a process of self-discovery, understanding the value of life, and realizing that it is unique and irrecoverable. The book, launched in Brazil by Editora Yes Book, is written by Jessika Gonçalez, who debuts as a writer, and tells the story of overcoming, acceptance, and knowledge. Self-awareness is the starting point for any understanding. And it was through a process of self-awareness, understanding the value of life, and realizing that it is unique and irrecoverable, that “Accepting Reality” was born.

The NGO "Accepting Reality"

From a life experience, with moments of pain and questioning, this fruit was generated in the heart of Jessika, who, in conversation with her husband, musician Flávio Souza, developed a social project with her parents in Brazil for many years. The “Casa Lar Ebenézer” foundation, maintained through donations and volunteer work, took in children in situations of social vulnerability, offering education, health, psychological support, food and shelter. Founded in 1998, the foundation took in around 300 children until it closed in 2024. With the desire to help others, Jessika decided to distribute the book free of charge to homeless people in Brazil and the United States and bring back to them everything that transformed their lives during the process.

Seeing lives being touched by their words and actions, the couple wanted more, and the desire to help even more took shape. Inspired by “Casa Lar Ebenézer,” the NGO “Accepting Reality” was born, operating in Brazil and the United States, with the purpose of rescuing human beings through assistance, socio-educational, and cultural actions. The intention is to grow and evolve, support projects that integrate and empower the homeless population, and develop self-awareness for the valuation of life.

“Accepting Reality” shows that it is necessary to understand and welcome that each stage of life has a determined time, processes take time, and time is an ally of transformation. Just as I was transformed by the processes I describe in the book, I wish that people can also be touched, value life, and accept processes as agents of transformation,” says Jessika Gonçalez.

“Our project has the intention of loving before everything and has solidarity as its motto. Solidarity is crucial to save lives and transform, even if it’s just a little, the daily lives of this vulnerable population, recognizing and dignifying these individuals, who also have rights. And when I see them transformed, I also evolve,” concludes Jessika.
